Abridging and Abstracting Service
We offer an abridging and abstracting service to condense or summarise an existing text.
We will work to abridge your text by structural editing and rewriting. We can reduce text to your required word/page count. We welcome any instructions regarding house style.
We can either abridge your text on screen, and provide you with an electronic file where the amendments are marked using Track Changes, or we can deliver a final abridged version of the text. We work in many formats and in most software packages – we can deliver files by e-mail, and on CD.

London-based Atlas Translations was able to help a manufacturing company go global. Atlas
was given the task of abridging the company’s English marketing material in readiness
for a multilingual version of their brochure. Once the text had been condensed,
Atlas Translations translated the abridged English version into French, German,
Spanish and Italian.
