A text may need to be abridged for a number of reasons. It may not be economical to publish it in its current form, perhaps you are preparing a text for translation and need to shorten it; it could be too long for the requirements of a new market, some sections may be unnecessary, or the writing style longwinded.

We will work to cut your text by structural editing and rewriting. We can reduce text to your required word or page count. We welcome any instructions regarding house style.

This service is charged at an hourly rate, depending on language and subject area.

We can either abridge your text on screen, and provide you with a file where the amendments are marked using track changes, or we can deliver a final version of the text. We work in many formats and in most software packages – we can deliver files by e-mail, and on disk/CD.
