With a full range of global translation services, we also offer video remote interpreting (VRI). This helps people interact more personally than telephone language interpretation because of visual context and visual cues. Atlas Translations offers a low per-minute rate for consecutive and simultaneous interpretation while eliminating the hassle of travel time, mileage fees and waiting time that can be associated with face-to-face interpreting.

With exceptional high-resolution video and audio connection, you’ll be able to see and hear the interpreter as if they were right next to you.

Getting started is easy. All you need is internet access, a mobile phone or computer, and a webcam, and there’s no expensive equipment to rent or purchase. We will also provide additional expertise and support.

How Does It Work?

Available as consecutive or simultaneous interpretation, VRI is a great solution for many industries, including business, healthcare, and education. VRI provides a unique opportunity to connect your clients and community globally.

With exceptional high-resolution video (1080P and more than 30 FPS—that’s high definition and frame rates) and an audio connection, you’ll be able to see and hear the interpreter as if they were right next to you.

We can provide on-demand language interpretation via VRI for all languages. VRI allows users to see the interpreter’s facial expressions and know they understand what was said. We only use interpreters with proven experience and expertise in your field.

Is Video Remote Interpreting the Right Choice for Me?

VRI is not suitable for all occasions.

Over-the-phone and video interpreting offer a fast response when urgent language barriers come up. But, for longer, planned appointments, we suggest our face-to-face services. They’re also better for complex and time-consuming issues.

Sometimes people feel uncomfortable using the phone or computer and just prefer an interpreter on-site, either with consecutive or simultaneous interpretation.
