The Allergy Project is a vital service, creating information cards with clear allergy information for children and adults to carry with them wherever they go. The cards needed to be translated into various languages by an ISO-certified translation agency, so the organisation’s founder came to us for help. The Allergy Project now relies on Atlas Translations for ongoing, accurate and fully certified translation services they can trust.

How it started
Lauren Robinson founded The Allergy Project with one clear purpose: to make everyday life with allergies feel a little lighter. The team creates custom allergy labels, ID cards & travel cards for children & adults that include details of dietary and/or environmental sensitivities. These cards can be carried at nursery drop-offs, school trips and restaurant visits so that important medical information can be quickly and clearly conveyed whenever needed.
The cards were already available in English, but customers needed them to be understood in different languages so they had similar reassurance while travelling internationally. So, Lauren commissioned the team at Atlas Translations to help.

What we did
Lauren provided us with a selection of cards that needed to be translated into other languages. For this relatively small job, it was simply a case of her sending us the information (for example, “I have a peanut allergy”), our team translating it into the required languages, and sending it back within the deadline.
When it comes to medical information, accuracy is vital and can even be lifesaving. It was because of our ISO certification in Translation Services that Lauren felt confident knowing that our translations would not only be accurate, but also culturally nuanced.
Lauren also appreciated how senior project manager Stefania Orlotti managed the process efficiently, allowing her to “hand off the project without any back and forth”. Stefania’s excellent customer service gave Lauren full confidence that the job would be done well – and it was.
“Anyone can use Google Translate for a direct translation, but for this project it was absolutely essential that nuance was understood. I knew I needed a qualified, certified translation company – I had full confidence that Atlas would do the job well, and I’m expecting to see great results from the translated cards. I’d happily use Atlas again and recommend them to others needing a similar level of trust in their translations.”
