International, culturally nuanced voiceovers for a global brand

SECTOR: Film, TV & Media | WORK: Voiceover & Studio Work

Summary

Our long-term client, a household name in the global entertainment industry, came to us via personal referral as they were approaching a big anniversary and were looking for a certified translation agency to support their campaign. They were running an online auction which needed prize descriptions translated into 14 different languages. We earned their trust and our working relationship was firmly secured, so they began to commission us for international and ongoing voiceover and studio work.

How it started

Our translation and localisation services merge perfectly with our voiceover and studio services to deliver a seamless experience for our client. The team already had full confidence in our high-quality, certified and culturally appropriate translations, so they knew we’d be a natural fit to provide voiceover work too.

Our highly efficient project manager Stefania Orlotti is the client’s point of contact. Steffi ensures that everything is taken care of, from the initial brief, organising translation if needed, finding the voiceover artists and booking the recording studio, right through to final delivery of the audio file.

What we did

Finding the right voiceover artists to perfectly fit a brief is a skill in itself; there is of course the language to consider, but there are also characteristics like accent, age, gender, and style/tone to take into account. We draw from our extensive network of experienced voiceover artists from all corners of the world, and only put forward internally approved demo clips for our client to listen to and consider.

Because of the longstanding relationship we have built with a specialist voiceover agency, we’re proud to be one of the only translation and voiceover service providers able to supply child actors for voiceovers, and that was a huge advantage to our client in this case.

The secret to our ongoing successful relationship with this highly respected, multinational organisation lies in our exceptional customer service and attention to detail. Our client trusts us to deliver to our exactingly high standards, on time and on budget, and we maintain a high level of responsiveness despite differing time zones. They also appreciate how our voiceover artists feed into the process, flagging if something isn’t quite right culturally and suggesting potential solutions, so a reassuring extra layer of quality control exists through each project.

What they say

The client has told Steffi that they appreciate the high level of transparency and honesty they get from working with Atlas Translations. They value our reliability and our personal, human service (absolutely nothing in our process is automated). Because of the nature of their work, there are often urgent requests that need immediate action and a fast turnaround, and they appreciate how we go out of our way to accommodate this wherever possible.
