Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

What is CPD?

CPD involves participating in additional learning activities to keep skills up to date and/or to widen your knowledge in certain subjects. These activities could be anything from a formal qualification to immersing yourself in a language by visiting a particular country.

Here at Atlas Translations we encourage all suppliers and staff members to undertake regular CPD. Why? Well, we believe that things change and evolve so frequently in language as well as in your field(s) of expertise. Therefore it is important to keep up to date with these changes.

Whilst looking into CPD for a colleague, I came across ‘CPD for translators: upcoming translation conferences’ by Jayne Fox (http://buff.ly/1x4VsGf). Thank you Jayne for this brilliant list!
