How We Work: Simplify Your Translation Journey with Atlas Translations

Translating documents can feel like a bit of a minefield, especially if you’ve never needed it done before. Whether you’re an individual staring down a stack of paperwork in another language or an organisation looking to expand into new markets, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s where we come in. At Atlas Translations, we’re here to take the weight off your shoulders and guide you through the process from start to finish. Here’s how we simplify your translation journey, making it smooth and surprisingly stress-free.

Call us on +44 (0)1727 812 725 or email us at team@atlas-translations.co.uk to let us know what you need. We respond quickly to all enquiries!

How Your Translation Project Works

📑 Project Details

To finalise your quote and keep things running smoothly, we’ll ask for a few key details:

Which languages are involved? Need a single translation from English into French? Or several translations into multiple languages? Let us know.

I need it yesterday! Whether you have an urgent deadline or have a bit of wiggle room, we’ll work to your timeline.

Any extras? Need specific formatting? Following a style guide? Want both a digital and printed version? Just tell us what’s needed—we’re happy to accommodate.

🏃‍➡️ Getting Started

Once you’ve accepted our quote, we’ll need your files so we can get started. The easiest way to send them is by email—attach your documents and fire them off to team@atlas-translations.co.uk.

  • Editable formats like .docx or .pptx are ideal—they make things quicker and easier for our translators.
  • We can also work with PDFs and scans—just try to make sure they’re as clear as possible. If not, no worries because we’ll do our best with what you’ve got.

The Translation Process

😎 Your Dedicated Team

Once everything’s confirmed, we’ll assign a dedicated project manager to your job. They’ll be your main point of contact, keeping you updated and answering any questions you may have along the way. You’ll never be left guessing, because we don’t ghost you (that’s just rude.)

✔️ Expert Matchmaking (no…not that type!)

We don’t just assign translators at random. Our project managers carefully hand-pick the right person for the job based on:

  • Native language fluency: Your translation will be completed by a native speaker of the target language for natural, fluent results.
  • Subject matter knowledge: Legal contract? Medical report? Marketing brochure? We’ll match you with someone who has sector-specific knowledge and is an expert on the topic.
  • Technical requirements: Special formatting or complex terminology? We’ll bring in a translator with the right skills to handle it confidently.

🔎 Proofreading & Quality Checks

Most of our projects include a second layer of review by a second linguist. This extra round of proofreading helps catch any errors and makes sure your translation is polished, accurate, and meets ISO quality standards.

Completion and Beyond

💅 Final Touches

Once the translation and proofreading are complete, we carry out a final internal check to make sure everything is perfect. If you’ve asked for any additional services—like subtitling, voiceover, or typesetting—we’ll take care of those too.

Delivery & Payment

  • You’ll receive your completed translation by email, and if original documents were provided, we’ll return them by post.
  • You’ll also receive your invoice, with payment due within 15 business days.

It’s a Wrap!

So that’s the basic Atlas translation process in a nutshell—clear, collaborative, and designed to make your life easier. Translation doesn’t have to be daunting, and with the right team behind you, it can be refreshingly simple!
